Nestled on the shores of the inlet northwest of Lake Trasimeno, Borghetto has roots in ancient times. There are traces of a settlement dating back to the Etruscan-Roman era (First century BC – Second century AD).
This is definitely a charming little town worth a visit!

The lake obviously has very little water (September) and is very algae. At this point there is a small parking lot with a restaurant and a jetty. You can take a break here and watch birds.
