Cykling
A cycling and walking path, the "Sentiero della Bonifica", leads the entire 50 km between the Lago di Montepulciano and the mouth of the Arno, next to the Canale Maestro. The dirt road is not ideal, but can be reasonably well cycle. It is absolutely flat, relatively lacking in variety and there is almost no infrastructure - restaurant, hotel, or campsite - right on the way. But no cars.
