Vandring

Modernist building by the architect Demetrio Ribes that was inaugurated in 1917. Both the exterior and the interior finishes show a high degree of finishing, paying tribute to Valencian industry, and in particular to the orange. The facades have certain Gothic elements reminiscent of the Lonja. The great quality of the mosaics in the ceilings, floors and walls is striking, as is the ironwork and the wealth of ceramics with flashy colors.

The Estación del Norte2, also known as Valencia-Norte3 or Valencia-Estación del Norte4 or historically Valencia-Término5, is the main train station of the Spanish city of Valencia. The station was opened in 1917 after eleven years of construction, and in 1987 the historic building was classified as a “building of national importance”. Contrary to what the name suggests, the train station is located in the south of the city center.
