Vandring
This is the Zapardiel River, which flows through the town of Valladolid in the Castile and León region. Thanks to the river's cleaning and channeling works, it has been ensured that the riverbed will not easily overflow, creating a barrier that prevents the water from causing problems for the town's residents. Today it is dry due to the current dry season, but water will soon return to the riverbed.

Vandring
The Zapardiel River valley in Medina del Campo is an interesting area for hiking, although it's worth noting that the river often has a very low flow or is even dry in some sections, especially in summer. A walk along its banks and surrounding area allows you to discover:
Typical Tierra de Campos landscape: plains, crops, and riverside vegetation.
Historic bridges and mills: some remains can be found near the town center.
Birdlife: it's common to see steppe birds and some species associated with wetlands.
