St. Laurentius is the Catholic parish church of Wismar. It stands on the southeast edge of the historic old town and was consecrated on October 12, 1902 by Bishop Hubertus Voß. It was given the name of Saint Laurentius because the Roman martyr was considered the patron saint of Wismar until the Reformation.
