The island of Uthörn is a side island of Sylt and is located in the bay of the Royal Harbor. The small island has evolved from a sandbank by further Sandanspülungen the island of Sylt.

Vandring
Uthörn is 780 meters long, up to 240 meters wide and covers an area of 13 hectares. The island is relatively young and has developed from a sandbank. Due to sand being washed up from the Sylt coastal dunes, Uthörn has now grown to a height of a good 4.10 meters above sea level and is no longer flooded at high tide. It is believed that the island will continue to grow in the future. So far, Uthörn has only been overgrown with pioneer plants typical of the North Sea coast, such as beach grass.
