The memorial honoring former political prisoners was inaugurated in Csíkszereda in 2000. In 2017, on the Day of Remembrance for the Victims of the Communist Dictatorship on March 9, 17 plaques were added. The names of 227 martyrs and prisoners from Csíkszereda can now be read here.
