The St. Ulrichs Church in Rastede is now almost 1,000 years old. Originally, the church may have consisted entirely of granite blocks and boulders. Over time, however, it has been extended, rebuilt and repaired several times, so that today, above all, the brick characterizes the construction. This is especially true of the freestanding bell tower, which collapsed several times in the course of its history. The St. Ulrichs Church with its hall crypt can be visited every first Sunday as part of a public tour. For travel groups, individual appointments are also arranged.
