Vandring

The city of Massa Marittima is historically divided into three districts: Borgo, Cittannova, and Cittavecchia. The district, in addition to hosting its crossbowmen competing in the Balestro del Girifalco, is a true community center, promoting youth activities, cultural activities, and recreational activities. Friendships, love affairs, and trusting relationships develop around the district life.

Vandring

Cittanuova can be considered the miners' quarter. This is confirmed by the Church of Sant'Agostino, which houses the Chapel of Santa Lucia, patron saint of silversmiths. The houses, almost all terraced and with ground-floor apartments, are characterized by simple windows, small entrance doors, and the almost complete absence of exterior decoration.
