Vandring

In the cemetery in Steinberg church stands probably the oldest linden fishing. Their age is estimated at least 400 years, some experts assume 800 years. The linden tree was once split by a lightning strike and has a circumference of nine meters. Presumably, the linden was planted on the occasion of the Reformation, hence the name. In the 16th century, the men gathered under it to hold court (Thingplatz).

Vandring

In 1999, the all-covering cement plaster was removed from the church and she got her new, old face again. The elongated nave and the retired box choir belong to a Romanesque stone church from the late 12th century. In the 13th and 15th centuries, the church was extended and received a wooden tower. In 1753 it was extended again and received the current tower with the curly hood and the open lantern.

Vandring

Steinbergkirche was since 1886 a station on the route Flensburg-Kappeln, which was shut down in 1953. Built in 1886, the inn was also the station reception building. There was also a small locomotive station, coal and water crane. The clever innkeeper promised himself by longer stays of the train also more sales. The building is now a listed building and is used as a dental practice.
