The sculpture "Gåsen" ("The Goose") is a charming work of art by Danish sculptor Søren West, which has adorned Gåsetorvet Square in the center of Svendborg since 1997. It was installed as part of a comprehensive street renovation and is now a popular meeting place and photo spot for locals and visitors alike. The sculpture depicts a stylized goose – a humorous yet dignified homage to the square's name. It blends elegantly into the urban environment and emphasizes the interplay of art, everyday culture, and public space.
