After crossing the town of Cavaleiro, we do not follow the waymark but continue straight on the road. So the entire lighthouse system can be seen, which is difficult from the seaward platforms.

The short walk out of the village over asphalt is rewarded with a beautiful view. If you then continue hiking southwards along the coast - it is worth turning around again.

It began operating on April 15, 1915. The optical device is a large, third-order model (500mm focal length), whose rotation is produced by a clockwork machine. The light source is incandescent petroleum vapor.

Electrified in 1950, through the installation of generators, the light source became a 3,000-watt bulb.
It is a spectacular observation point for rocky ravines.
