The town hall, the oldest parts of which date back to the mid-14th century, is Überlingen's most important secular building. The town hall was built in two phases: the western part was constructed in the second half of the 14th century, and the eastern part, including the Pfennigturm, was built between 1484 and 1494. The tower housed the city treasury and the imperial city archives.

Vandring

The town hall in Überlingen is a listed town hall from the 14th and 15th centuries in the old town of Überlingen. It borders the former churchyard to the south in the immediate vicinity of the St. Nikolaus Minster and still serves the local city administration today. The town hall was first mentioned in 1332 when the city acquired land to expand it. It was first expressly mentioned in 1394 when a priest was given the office of sacristan. The oldest wooden ceilings still preserved in the west building on Münsterstrasse date back to 1400.
