Vandring
This is one of the most beautiful squares in Portugal, built entirely of marble. Surrounded by remarkable buildings of great artistic value, namely: the Palace of the Dukes of Bragança, the equestrian statue of King D. João IV, the Nós and Vila gates, the Church of the Augustinians, and the old church and monastery of Chagas, now a posada. Nothing here disturbs this noble square—neither terraces, nor restaurants, nor kiosks—it is a pleasure to admire its elegance and simplicity.
