Fremragende museum og oceanografisk forskningscenter, det største akvarium i Europa. Dette center for opdagelse af havmiljøet, åbnet i 1991, er opdelt i to hovedruter: den historiske udstilling "Des rivages et des Hommes" og udstillingen "Voyage en haute mer" med sin 10.000 m3 store tank, der forsøger at genskabe økosystemet på Malpelo-øen (hvilket gør det til "Europas største akvarium"), samt flere små permanente og midlertidige udstillinger.

Nausicaá Center National de la Mer is a public aquarium in Boulogne-sur-Mer in northern France. It is the largest aquarium in Europe with more than 1600 species and 60,000 animals. Nausicaá is a center for scientific and technical discovery of the marine environment, which focuses mainly on the relationship between man and the sea. You can follow three fascinating and fun visitor routes: On a journey in the high seas, In the eye of the climate hurricane and Van Kusten en Mensen. You can admire sharks, sea lions, crocodiles, jellyfish and corals.

Vandring
A worthwhile aquarium—especially the central tank with its underwater tunnel, where a giant manta ray swims laps. We were there on a weekday during the off-season. Although there were no lines, it was quite crowded and noisy at times. Given the queue management at the entrance, it's safe to assume it gets very, very crowded on weekends, rainy days, and/or during peak season. I wouldn't visit the aquarium during those times. (Note: The photo doesn't show the manta ray. ;) It was at the other end of the tank at the time.)
