Vandring
One of the city's most famous industrialists was Richard Hartmann. He went down in history as the so-called "Locomotive King" and left behind, among other things, the factory owner's villa, built in 1868. This stately symbol of the Hartmann empire served as the director's villa from 1890 to 1930 and has been used as a youth center since 1956.

Unfortunately, textile machine builder and locomotive king Richard Hartmann was unable to live in his property on Kaßbergstraße, built around 1870, for very long. After his death, one of his sons lived in the villa, and in later years, various factory directors of the former Hartmann machine factory lived there.
Since 2003, the Kraftwerk e.V. association has been located in the former residential villa of the Hartmann machine manufacturer, a socio-cultural center and open house for everyone.
