    The Verbrande Brug is a vertical lift bridge in the municipality of Grimbergen near the hamlet of Verbrande Brug. The bridge spans the Brussels-Scheldt Sea Canal. The bridge was built in 1968 and has a metal movable section with a length of 38.4 m and a width of 11.6 m. The bridge is identical in dimensions to the Brielen Bridge in Tisselt (Willebroek) and the Humbeek Bridge in Grimbergen, which is located in were built the same year.

    The name "Verbrande Brug" comes from the wooden bridge over the canal, which was set on fire in 1577 by the Spanish garrison from Vilvoorde. Only in 1968 was the then existing ferry replaced by a lift bridge.
