Vandring
In 2001, a memorial tree was planted by their parents and grandparents for all children in Lummen born in 2000. Their names were inscribed on the millennium stone at the entrance to the area.
The municipality of Lummen purchased a 29-40 acre plot of land specifically for this purpose, next to the Thousand-Year-Old Oak estate. The planting stock, native oaks, was also provided by the municipality of Lummen. These trees have since grown into a beautiful forest and a lasting connection between the past and the future.

Vandring
Most people walk from the parking lot through the almost literally large gate straight to the Thousand-Year-Old Oak and everything beyond. This entrance is a little closer to the road, and you start with a lovely open area. Once past this small wood (Millennium Forest and just beyond it, the section of Peace Forest), you'll find a recently renovated open area where it's wonderful to relax, picnic, and play. From there, you can also access the area with the large oak tree via various entrances.
