"To the glory of God, always to the defense of our neighbor" is the motto of the Sahms Volunteer Fire Department. The Sahms Volunteer Fire Department was founded in 1908 and, along with all its equipment, found its home in the first fire station.
The second building was then used for expansion and had a 60,000-liter cistern in the basement.
The fire station has been in use since 1992 and provides space for emergency equipment and meetings.
