This one, at the church in Oeselgem, commemorates the military and civilian victims and veterans of the First and Second World Wars.
The plaque at the foot of the monument honors the Belgian soldiers of the 19th Line Regiment who died in the Battle of the Lys from May 24 to 28, 1940.
The (difficult to read) text on the monument: "19th Line Regiment / to its fallen and to all its brave men who, in despair, fought here for the salvation of our country."
