The building dates from that time. Today's Kigali grew around this building. Photography is not allowed in the building itself.
The exhibition is thought-provoking, as it deals with a very dark spot in both German and European history.

Vandring
Considering its support from German institutions, the exhibition seems rather outdated. Germany is missing an opportunity to confront its colonial history. Furthermore, the exhibition uses buzzwords related to decolonization that are not explained.

A very beautiful museum and memorial at the same time, which makes you think - the background is, after all, very worrying.
The lower part is all about the genocide in Rwanda - there are also some exhibits that are quite disturbing.
The upper part is about the genocides of the past decades and the murdered children in Rwanda.
It is unbelievable that the world looked the other way for so long.
