Schuivenhuisje
The Schuivenhuisje has a length of about 15 meters and is quite narrow at about 1.5 meters. It was built in 1887 and has the status of a Rijksmonument.
The water regulation for the Nordhorn-Almelo Canal was implemented via the Schuivenhuisje. When shipping on this canal was stopped in 1960, it lost its function. A thorough restoration took place in 2005.

The Sliding House was built in 1887, a strangely narrow building. This weir with a special sliding construction made of steel regulates the water level of the canal with the help of the Dinkel, which flows here under the Almelo-Nordhorn canal.
