Vandring

The church, which is around 1000 years old, dates back to the time of the early parish foundations under the Babenbergs. The foundation letter from Emperor Henry II dates from 1014. In 2014, St. Stephan celebrated its 1000th anniversary and had new bells cast for the occasion in the Rudolf Perner foundry in Passau. In 2013, three more were added to the four existing bells, of which the Pummerin and two others were made in 1752 and the smaller train bell, also known as the death bell, in 1931.
