Geesow was first mentioned in a document in 1269. Presumably, with the development of the place, a stone church was built. Today's Geesow Church was built in 1911. It is a rectangular plastered building with a three-sided east end and a tower on the west side, which carries a baroque tower top. The weather vane on the tower is from the church building in 1749.

The place and the church were first mentioned in a document in the 13th century. During the Thirty Years' War, the place - like all other villages in the area - was destroyed and lay desolate for several decades. But here, too, the resettlement took place and the church was rebuilt. First as a half-timbered church and in 1911 today's church was built with its simple furnishings.
