A huge boulder with a plaque commemorating Adolf Munkel, to whom this beautiful trail is dedicated. Here you are right at the foot of the Geißlerspitzen!
A little further away (on the path to the Glatsch-Alm) there is a bench where you can relax and enjoy this beautiful view again.
The text of the commemorative plaque reads: "This path, built in 1905 by the Dresden section of the German and Austrian Alpine Club, was called Adolf-Munkel-Weg. In grateful memory of its founder, who died on January 14, 1904, and faithful chairman during the years 1873 - 1903. "

Vandring

This circular route is one of the most beautiful circular routes in South Tyrol. The views of the Geissler Group are simply phenomenal. Hiking technically also absolutely feasible for less experienced hikers.
Unfortunately, the path is also heavily frequented, especially on weekends and during holiday periods.

The memorial plaque is attached to a huge spherical boulder that appears to have rolled there before 1905. The hiking trail was created by the Dresden Hiking Association, and a memorial was erected in a special place for the member Adolf Munkel.
