In this 50-hectare area west of "Albersloher Weg," an "Air Force Signal Barracks" was built between 1935 and 1937. The former barracks were characterized by their distinctive architectural structure. Therefore, a portion of the historic site, approximately 24 hectares, is a listed building. After 1945, British forces took over the barracks and constructed additional buildings for their needs. For several decades, the Royal Dragoon Guards from Yorkshire, the Royal Logistic Corps from Surrey, and the King's Royal Hussars from Wiltshire were stationed here.
