The Mulberry Landing Port on Omaha Beach was part of the Allied invasion strategy during the D-Day landings on June 6, 1944. The Mulberry Ports were two artificial harbors built by the Allies to ensure rapid access to troops with supplies and heavy equipment, as there were no suitable natural harbors on the Normandy beaches.
