It owes its name to the Florinskirche, which, together with the old "Kauf und Danzhaus", the Schöffenhaus and the Bürresheimer Hof, forms an ensemble of four historic buildings that is one of the most beautiful groups of buildings in the city.

It wasn't quite like that at the Florinsmarkt in the past, but it was quiet.
In the Middle Ages, as a grain and fruit market, it was already the center of life in the city. The "ALTE KAUF- UND DANZHAUS" was a central building on the square, known for the eye roller, a symbol of the city.
The Florinsmarkt is charged with city history, every part and every wall can tell its own story.
