This is where the Rodna Mountains National Park (Parcul Național Muntii Rodnei) begins. With a good 46,000 hectares, it is an important nature reserve in Romania, which has also been designated a biosphere reserve. The Rodna Mountains are a natural area with a high level of floristic and animal diversity and have a whole range of different habitats.
