The first and most obvious singularity compared to the ‘canonical’ sacred Nuragic wells such as the sacred well of Tattinu is the apparent absence of the vestibule and of any other visible structure. The 28-step staircase forms a rectangular void with the water chamber. The well itself has a ‘bottle-shaped’ section with an elliptical plan, which is also unusual. Limestone blocks with pebbles inserted were used to build it.
