The church tower, which dates from 1627, survived the earthquake of 1693.
The nave with eight bays of windows and the choir were rebuilt by the local lord after the earthquake in 1723.
The cemetery's surrounding wall contains numerous remains of old graves, some of which are decorated with the symbols of a craftsman and his profession.

The construction of the current church began in 1723 and was consecrated to Saint Roch on May 7, 1730 by Bishop Jean-Baptiste Gilis, Bishop of Amizon.
