Vandring

The building was constructed in 1902 as the town hall and schoolhouse. The museum is located in a more recent addition.

A timeline of the town's history is also displayed in front of the building.

The town hall and schoolhouse is the eighth of twelve stations along the Waldensian Trail through Palmbach.

As a result of the territorial reforms implemented by Napoleon, Palmbach became part of Baden in 1806.

In addition to the historic classroom and the 1950s classroom, the Baden School Museum features an old teacher's apartment "from 1890" on the top floor, as well as an exhibition room. Here, alongside exhibits on school and religion, visitors can also find artifacts relating to the local history of Palmbach and the Waldensians. Besides exhibits from earlier decades, such as school caps, technical equipment, and teaching materials from the last 200 years, school history is also brought to life through numerous other activities.
