Vandring

Probably built around 1600, it originally belonged to the Pforzheim nuns, then to the Herrenalb Monastery, and later to the municipal tithe barn until the tithes were abolished in 1850. In its function as a tithe barn, i.e., a warehouse for the in-kind tributes paid by the population to the landowners, it documents earlier forms of ownership and economic activity.

The former tithe barn of Vaihingen is located directly on the city wall facing the Enz. Here the tithes were collected, first for the Pforzheim nuns and then for the Herrenalb monastery.
The flood marks of the Enz are located on the corner of the house.
