Castle ruins are not really applicable, because only two of the three castle mounds are left of the former castle, nothing can be seen of the castle itself. The sign points then in the direction of “Burgstelle”, which is more appropriate. I was impressed by the view from the point between the two castle hills.

"The castle Greifenberg (Gryffenberg) on the top of the also called" Katzenbüggel "[...] was a striking, three-part castle complex separated by two section trenches were three hills on which there were keep, palas and a farmyard only wall remains visible.

More of a castle place instead of a ruin, you can see a little de space and the moat but instead of walls, there is a nice barbecue area!
