Howard Marsh Metropark is a remarkable 1,000-acre natural area located in Curtice, Ohio, approximately 15 miles east of downtown Toledo, along the western Lake Erie shoreline. This expansive wetland, sitting at an elevation of about 173 metres, is a cornerstone of the Western Lake Erie Marshes Loop and represents one of the largest new wetland restoration projects in the Midwest. It features 750 acres meticulously restored to native coastal wetland habitats, playing a crucial role in the region's biodiversity.
