The Quellenpark is located in the old town of Bad Soden. It was created in 1872 after the city acquired the necessary land. The heart of the park is the Solbrunnen, which was formerly used for salt production. Today it is in use as a spa and drinking fountain. The statue Sodenia is today a landmark of the city of Bad Soden. Through the Quellenpark flows the Sulzbach. Directly at the park is the "Haus Bockenheimer". This building was the first bathhouse in the city. It was renamed "Frankfurter Hof" in 1813. On the other side is the sour well.

At this point / I would like to quickly / say something about the source:
To quote the incomparable humorist Heinz Erhardt (1909 - 1979), who was known to a wide audience for his word jokes and "Noch'n poem", with a short quatrain:
"There is certainly much beauty in
    on the element, the wet.
Because you can drink the water.
But you can - also leave it."
    (H.Erhardt)

However, accessing the Solquelle (Sol Spring) directly beneath the Sodenia statue requires descending several steps, which may pose a challenge for some.

Are dogs allowed in Quellenpark and near the Sodenia Pavilion?

Yes, the Quellenpark is generally dog-friendly. Many visitors enjoy walking their dogs through the park's paths. Please ensure your dog is kept on a leash and that you clean up after them to maintain the park's beautiful environment for everyone.

What are the best walking routes or trails around the Sodenia Pavilion and Quellenpark?

The Quellenpark offers several pleasant walking routes that meander through its landscaped grounds, past old trees, and along the Sulzbach stream. While there aren't specific named 'trails' in the traditional hiking sense, you can enjoy circular walks within the park itself, connecting to other landmarks like the Hundertwasserhaus and the old Trinkhalle. For longer excursions, the park serves as an excellent starting point for walks into the surrounding Bad Soden area.

How long does it typically take to explore the Sodenia Pavilion and Quellenpark?

A leisurely visit to the Sodenia Pavilion and a walk through the main areas of Quellenpark can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour, depending on your pace and how much time you spend admiring the details and relaxing. What are the parking options available near the Sodenia Pavilion in Quellenpark?

Parking in Bad Soden's old town, especially near the Quellenpark, can be limited, particularly on busy days. There are public parking areas and street parking available in the vicinity, but it's advisable to look for designated parking garages or lots a short walk away if you're visiting during peak times. Arriving earlier in the day often helps secure a spot.

Is the water from the Solquelle (Sol Spring) safe to drink?

No, the water from the Solquelle is not suitable for drinking. It is a highly saline fluoride and carbonic acid-containing sodium chloride thermal spring. Historically, it was used for salt extraction and later for external therapeutic applications like inhalations, rinses, and gargling, particularly for respiratory and oral conditions, due to its high salt concentration.

Are there any cafes or restaurants conveniently located near the Quellenpark?

Yes, the Quellenpark is situated in the heart of Bad Soden's old town, which means there are several cafes and restaurants within easy walking distance.
