The Piazza XX Settembre is the square in the heart of the old town of Lecco, long and narrow, surrounded by two wings that make it cozy and protective.
A walk in the square reveals the neoclassical style of Lecco architect Giuseppe Bovara, which is clearly visible in the colonnaded palaces. The geologist Antonio Stoppani was born in 1824, a plaque indicates the place with the number 43.
