Zimmermann Ranch Road and Fifteen Mile Road meet at this junction. Following these two roads and continuing along Disaster Peak Road is a good alternative route along the Oregon Desert Trail. There is an information board about collection rocks and petrified wood in the area (both legal to a certain amount).
