The "Schoofsbësch", a former quarry, is the heart of a nature reserve. There are several picnic tables and benches available here.
This quarry used to be used to mine rubble and paving stones. The mine was first opened up around 1870. Various remnants from this era can still be seen, including wagons.
There are also wooden loungers on the site that invite you to linger. The ideal place for an excursion.
Several hiking trails, including the Éislek Pad Gilsdorf, lead past the "Schoofsbësch".
