As part of the expansion of the Emscherweg, a "skywalk" was built near the Emscherland. From the platform, which has a small glass floor that protrudes over the renaturalized Emscher, you have a beautiful view of the former sewer.
There is also a rest area with several benches at this point.

Emscher Skywalk with blue glass floor and side windows. Makes the Emscher, which is still straightened here, look beautifully blue. Open to the public as of June 2024.
As far as I know, this section will remain as a monument in the form of the old sewer, only now with clean water. A green rest area with benches is directly opposite the Skywalk.
