Nordic walking
The Burgbergturm, also known as the Burgwarte, is a viewing tower in Bad Soden am Taunus. The Burgberg tower was built in 1900 by the Taunus Club on the castle hill that gave it its name. Similar towers were also built by the club in other places at the beginning of the century, such as the Meisterturm and the Herzberg Tower.

The castle hill was covered with vines in the 19th century, so that the Frankfurt national poet Friedrich Stoltze spoke of a "pincushion". In 1881 the vineyards were replaced by firs under the direction of the Frankfurt city gardener Weber. A castle complex has never been proven, even if the name Old Castle, which appears at different times, suggests one.
