The church has a Romanesque nave built in peat stone dating from the 12th century, which was preserved during the renovation in 1942-1943 and was united with the Gothic extensions from the 15th century.
The clock on the tower may have been built around 1360, making it the oldest working mechanical tower clock in the world.
The Gothic part of the church is a memorial chapel for all Brabant soldiers and resistance fighters who died in the Second World War.
The church can be visited by appointment.
