James Bond would enjoy Portopiccolo near Trieste: the yacht club with 121 berths is completed. A five-star Starwood Group hotel with 60 rooms opened shortly thereafter. At the beach club, the rich and famous of Verona, Venice, Padua and Trieste - and some other Europeans, who have bought one of the nearly 500 private apartments. Sizes up to 350 square meters disappear like hot cakes, around 200 of them are still available - real estate is still the real gold.
