Just below the borderland tower stands the chapel "Maria Frieden", which was inaugurated in June 1963. It expresses the idea of peace close to the border. In 1967, the Eger State Parliament erected a memorial to the dead, missing, fallen and victims of the expulsion, right next to the chapel. On the memorial stone the following inscription is to be read: Our dead to the memory, the living to the admonition. "Underneath is the coat of arms of the city Eger to see. The chapel is representative of the decay-abandoned places of pilgrimage across the border.
