The Town Hall Square is the center of the city center. Here, the weekly market and some events take place. It was built in the 17th century as a parade and military square. Around the Rathausplatz are historic buildings, such as the Alte Apotheke or the Alte Kaufhaus. On the square stands an equestrian statue Prince Regent Luitpolds of Bavaria (1892).
