As part of the Liget Budapest project, the reconstructed former Olof Palme House was opened as the House of the Hungarian Millennium.
It is the oldest building in the City Park (or Városliget) and one of the city's most valuable monuments. The House of the Hungarian Millennium is a symbol of the Liget Budapest project and will become a true community meeting place, connecting the park with art. The name of the house directly refers to the time and era in which Hungarians celebrated the millennium of the founding of the Hungarian state in 1896.
