Løb

Until well into the 1950s, Kaltenbroich was not connected to the public water supply. The spring supplied drinking and service water. This is also where the women washed their laundry. The photos on the display board show us how the laundry was then bleached in the sun on the opposite meadow and how the people of Kaltenbroich carried the water home in buckets for people and cattle. Anyone who lived up there at that time had to carry a lot.
