The Federola fork is located at approximately 1,260 meters above sea level and its name probably derives from the term "feta", meaning sheep that has given birth.
The fork is located between Mount Venal and Mount Antander. In this section of the path there are numerous, but small, natural cavities in the rocks. They are called "ander" and are the result of the circulation of water that makes its way into the karst rock during the rains.
In the distance, among the surrounding ridges, you can see Lake Santa Croce.
