Vandring

The mighty brick church was built in 1893 in just seven and a half months. The wide west tower set across the nave is characteristic. It got its name from the reformer Philipp Melanchthon's stay of several weeks in Spandau in 1535.

Consecrated as a branch church in 1893, it became an independent parish church in 1916. After being damaged in World War II, it was simply repaired and is now a listed building.

It is very conspicuous in its location at the crossroads and draws attention with its appearance.

It is a good landmark if you are travelling without a map.
