Here you can experience the water world of Hawaii without snorkeling. Fantastic fish like the Commerson's Frogfish, Blue Devil Damselfish, Unicorn Fish or the Yellow Tang are waiting for you. Of course, the Humuhumunukunukuapua'a (fish from Hawaii) should not be missed. The aquarium is really a gem, which was created in 1904. Further information: waikikiaquarium.org

A very well maintained aquarium. Admission is a bargain compared to the prices of other activities around Waikiki Beach.
The aquarium is divided into an indoor and outdoor area.
Inside there are countless beautiful aquariums with native and exotic fish, from Florida pygmy seahorses to giant potbelly, everything was there and also corals.
Outside there is a reef tank where you can observe native fish. The Humuhumunukunukuapaua can also be seen there.
(The fish, which is called humuhumunukunukuāpua'a in Hawaiian, roughly translated as triggerfish with a mouth like a pig, is the state fish of the US state of Hawaii.)
